Happy Friday! I have been using Urban Decay’s Primer Potion for years, but I recently ran out. I really like it and it has always been a staple in my makeup bag. One of my friends at work has been talking about wanting to wear eyeshadow but never can because her eyelids are so oily. The shadow just creases and slides off. Since I don’t have oily eyelids, I’ve never had to research when buying primer but this was intriguing to me. I scouted around on Sephora’s website and landed on this for oily lids: Since I have been thinking about revamping a few things in my makeup bag, I decided to forego the Urban Decay primer this time and try out this NARS one. It’s the Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. It had excellent reviews on Sephora for oily lids and normal lids as well. I have only used it for a few days so far, but I have been enjoying it! I’m going to send it through some testing stages since I have some holiday parties coming up 😉 We’ll see how it handles the pressure! I will definitely be passing my info along to my friend so that she can try it. I will be interested to see how it works out for her!CONTINUE READING
This is my favorite time of year! I know I’m not the only one but the lights and Christmas socks and food and music are always magical for me. Since my grandparents came to stay with my parents for a month, I had the excuse to put my Christmas decorations up early…like before Thanksgiving. My grandparents have never seen our new house, so I decided to make it nice and festive when they came. Plus, I’m never going to pass on an excuse to set up everything early!
This Thanksgiving was so wonderful! It was a beautiful day outside with perfect 55 degree weather and sunshine, and it was made extra-special because my grandparents were here this year! Since they live in Pennsylvania, we don’t see them for holidays that often, so we drank up every moment we had with them.
We started out the day at Joey’s family’s house and then went to my parents’ house. We had two, full-blown dinners within three hours of each other. It was the best.ever. Our families put on a stellar feast for all of us and every year I am so impressed with how elegantly they execute it. They had to roll me out of the houses yesterday but I have zero regrets.
The day was low-key and happy and I’m so thankful for all of us being together again this holiday season.
Can’t wait until Christmas!
