Finally. FINALLY I think I’ve narrowed down my options for the accent wall in the guest bedroom. I want a focal wall that will make details pop in some of the decor items that I have for around the room. I plan on doing a metallic theme with some decor, so I wanted a deep, rich wall that will make it all pop but still be neutral and classic. Here are the 4 paints I am deciding between:
The Iron Ore is my wild card. I don’t know if I want to commit to a black-based wall but it’s just so strikingly beautiful. I think Peppercorn is a great compromise because it’s still dark but the edge is taken off. I have a beige/taupe headboard in this room so I’m debating if I should go with a grey or not. I know it could work, I’m just wondering how hard it would be to find a bed set that would complement both neutrals.
Seaworthy and Gale Force are the front runners for me. They add a subtle color that can add some dimension and play to the room. I don’t want to get stuck in a blue/green theme too much but these two seem like they could be just enough to bring some interesting focus to the wall and bounce off the metallic elements without locking me into a color scheme.
Joey and I are heading to Sherwin Williams tonight to either get swatches or go full force and buy a color outright. Which is your favorite?
