Were you watching my IG Stories on Saturday?! If so, you know I took my first-ever trip to Ikea! I know, I know. How have I lived so close to an Ikea for years and have never gone there before? My sister lives very close to one, so I buzzed on down to her house and we went together. I was on the hunt for a few specific things…none of which I got, of course.
This is what I was looking for:
*A small, stand-alone armoire/dresser
*Small organizing containers for bathroom drawers.
It all wasn’t in vain, though, because I did find these things and it gave me some time to think things out to decide what I really wanted and it will give me more time to budget for them. The curtains will be a big project because we have a huge wall to span with three windows, and I need to find a giant curtain rod somewhere that will work for the size of the space that we have. Once we put something up, it’s no turning back and I have serious commitment issues when it comes to holes in the wall. Please send wine, k? Thanks.
I have been wanting the Lenda curtains for a while, and I found them, but I need to figure out which size to get. They have a 98″ length and a 118″ length. Both of those could work, but I would have to either 1.) shorten the longer ones or 2.) place the curtain rod further down on the wall for the 98″ ones. The one thing that is stopping me is that I’m not totally sold on the tabs on the top. I have been wanting to use rings and hooks instead. I guess I will have to see what would be best once I have the rod!
This is the dresser that I found that I liked, and I hope to get it sometime soon! It would be perfect to fit in my closet, and would give me some much needed extra drawer space. I love the top, it’s a flat area that lifts open with a mirror on top. That’s an added little bonus.
The stuff that I did get was from the Fintorp collection, and I thought that this rod-and-bucket system was so cute for an area in my house that needs a little bit more attention. I’m not going to use it like the picture shows with the flatware in it, but that’s a great idea, too!
As for the organizers for the bathroom, I didn’t find those, either, but I’m not in a rush. I did a massive purge of all the unused stuff in my drawers, so that provided enough space for now.
I will fill you in on my version of what I’m going to do with the Fintorp items! I can’t wait to put it up in my house!
Have a great week, everyone!
