Hi everyone! I am back at it this Monday with a Christmas decor update! I finally, finally have had the chance to organize my things the way I want them and the boxes have been moved back into the basement. The tornado that was my house for 3 weeks is officially gone! Typically I am on top of the Christmas gig every year, but this year has been a mixture of a lot of things that seemed to get in the way of my vibe. Oh well, THE VIBE IS BACK.
Lezz take a look, shall we?
So this year I wanted to do more of a monochrome look, but still have my trees be the focus. If you’ve been following for a while, you know that I collect Christmas trees of all sorts and they’re my favorite thing to decorate with every year. I did end up adding a few new pieces that I LOVE, so I’m really happy with how this turned out!
The new things that I bought this year were the jingle bell/pom pom garland, the stockings, the candles, the vases, and the filler for them, both the white and the red.
I knew I wanted to add a lot of height to the mantle, so a trip to Michael’s was in order to see what was out this year. I saw these snowy white branches and absolutely loved them, so I bought a few for each vase. I knew that with the white background and the white branches, I would need some color differentiation in there to add some depth. I found some red spiral glitter filler and added those pieces in. With the bell garland, I wanted to keep the look whimsical and fun. I also gotta say, those jingle bells have the best sound ever. They sound like you’re taking a sleigh ride! So fun.
With all of those branches in the vase, I knew I didn’t want to look at the stems of them in there the whole season. I found a few bags of snow dust and poured that in and problem solved!
We have red and gold stockings which match our tree decorations, but we’ve had them for a while and they didn’t work with the mantle this year. I was on the hunt for some white or silver stockings and I found these quilted ones at Meijer! The little bells added the perfect touch!
I was out at Target and spotted these cute little glass candle holders and the red and white tapered candles. I added them to both sides of the mantle, and they add the perfect little bit of pop to pull in the red and white from the branches up top.
I filled in around them with my Christmas trees!
I added a little bit of greenery in there with my dark green pine tree in the center and my other snowy green trees on either side. The combination of all of the trees and the branches give it a nice natural feel, which I love.
Our living room feels really festive and ready for the Christmas season! I will be following up with some other things I have put up around the house, so be sure to watch my IG Stories for that!
Hope you all have a great Monday!
