It is officially Autumn and this is the first year in many years that I have felt so ready for it! I am normally hanging onto summer kicking and screaming but this year, I am ready for cool, crisp mornings and evenings, and middays that don’t reach 100 degrees. I am also 1,000% ready for sweaters, leggings, boots, booties, and blankets (oh my!) and alllll the warm drinks (except Pumpkin Spiced anything, I can’t stand pumpkin flavor or pie…I know, I know)! I don’t really know what it is about this year and feeling much more ready, but I’ll take it!
I am working on getting my home decor up around the house. I was able to unpack my wreath and my chalkboard wreath hanger and get those on the front door, and I bought two big pumpkins when I was at Kroger this week.
At least I’ve started it a little bit and had something up for the first day of fall! I always, ALWAYS get sucked into doing the things that “need to get done” around the house first (ex: laundry, dishes, meal prep) so that I don’t spend my week a frazzled mess. Pulling out a tub ‘o decorations makes me feel like things are exploding everywhere and that I’m going in circles (not just me…right?). It’s happening tonight though! I am going to go to our local pumpkin patch to load up our car with goodies and getting started! I already bought a few pumpkins for my work desk, so I will also be making that spot look cozy for fall, too. If I’m going to be at a desk 40 hours a week, it might as well look festive!
I hope you all have a great start to the week!
