Hi everyone! We are officially in the single-digit countdown to Christmas! I’m so excited for it! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season! Since I am going in for surgery soon (by the time you read this, I will have already had the surgery) I decided to set up the table for Christmas because I wasn’t sure how long my recovery would take.
This year I wanted simple and classic, with a focus on reds. I had found some fluted red chargers on one of my trips to At Home a few months ago (I think I bought them before Halloween!) and used those as the backdrop for my white plates. I pulled out my white plate collection that I’ve been steadily acquiring over the past year or so, and set everything up on those.
Do those tapered candles look familiar? I pulled those off of the mantle for the time being and added them to the table. I like to move things around the house and use them in multiple spaces if I can. I love the look of a fresh, unburned candle, but the whole point of having these cute home accessories is to use them! So, on the table they went!
The cute little centerpiece is from Target. Isn’t it the sweetest?! It’s got the perfect mix of green branches and punchy red berries, and the base is a beautiful silver pot. It glimmers and shimmers and you know I’m all about that with decor! Our table isn’t that big, so this was the perfect size to add in the middle. Like I said, I was aiming for sleek and streamlined. I liked using my boxwood so much for my Fall table, I wanted another piece with a similar vibe for my Christmas table.
When I was scouting around for napkins to pull in the red on the chargers, I found these plaid beauties! They.are.so.perfect! They add the perfect touch of vintage Christmas-y goodness, and add that little bit of pattern and texture that was needed.
I’ve mentioned before that we have been married 8 years and this is the first set of napkin rings I’ve ever owned. Don’t know how that happened but these are a great first set! I love that there is beading around the main ring as well.
I added in my Hearth and Home pillar candles as well, to add some height difference to the candle flames. You know I had to sneak a little bit of my Joanna Gaines’ fangirling in there with these! The Sugared Birch scent is AMAZING.
Last but not least, I added in my Christmas ornament glasses. These were my grandmother’s and she gave them to me a few years ago. I am so happy I was able to pull them out for the table this year. I don’t even know when she got these, but I love them and I love that such an important keepsake can be on my table. She’s staying with us this Christmas, so I’m sure we’ll get lots of opportunities to pull these out!
I hope you all have a great week!
