The Halloween decorating has begun! I love Halloween and I love looking at houses to see how people decorate for it. The more outrageous, the better! I don’t own a ton of Halloween decor, but the little bits I have right now I look forward to pulling out each year. I definitely need to add more to my collection, though, so I’m on the hunt for a few things!
As I pulled out what I do have, I realized that I have a lot of signs. I guess I’m drawn to these because I can stick them anywhere I want to around the outside of the house, and it can be arranged differently each year. I put my cute ghost one by our front door, because it has a little ‘welcome’ sign attached. I was able to wedge it into our hay bale, so it sits nicely against the house!
I also had bow with a mummy in the center of it from an older decoration that fell apart. This became the perfect topper for one of my pumpkins! I love how the green contrasts with the orange. On the other side of the door, I put a witch among the other pumpkins. She looks right at home next to my bumpy, warty pumpkin!
When I went to Menard’s about a month ago, I got these hilariously cute jack-o-lantern stake signs at the same time that I got my scarecrow. I have been waiting to put these out! The look so cute right next to our sidewalk as you walk up to our front door!
Finally, I put my “Welcome My Pretties” sign right at the entrance of our sidewalk. I love this sign! It’s so glittery and fun and whimsical, and it feels perfect for trick-or-treaters to see as they walk up to the house.
I still have more things to add around the inside of the house, and I have some plans for the pumpkins as well. We’ll see if I have enough time to get to that, but I will be working on putting things up inside the house this week! Do you decorate for Halloween? What are some of your favorite pieces? I hope you are all enjoying the fun of fall and these last few weeks of October!
