Welcome to my Fall tablescape! I have been slowly purchasing pieces for a while this season to be able to put them out for a dinner party, and I was finally able to lay everything out for the completed look. For a while now, I have been collecting white plates of all different patterns. I like the mismatched look, and I like hunting for them and having a story of how and when I found one to add to my collection. I’m picky, so it took me a while to find enough that I liked!
Back a few weeks ago when Mom and I went to Hobby Lobby, I grabbed some chargers for the plates. I have never had chargers before, but I’ve always wanted them! I spotted these burlap ones, which fit right in with the theme I was going for. They look perfect against the white plates! You know I have to throw in something metallic or sparkly to add to the effect of anything that I do. When I saw these gold-stenciled placemats, I knew they would be the perfect additional touch I was looking for, and they have pumpkins on them! I’m not a fan of pumpkin-flavored stuff, but pumpkin patterns? Sign me up. I love the contrast between the placemats and the rustic burlap chargers. The napkins are my sister’s, and she had them on the table for Thanksgiving last year and they looked beautiful. I asked her if I could borrow them because I knew those pops of orange and yellow and red were needed to bring some color to the table! As a cute little place setting, I added a pumpkin to each plate. Two of them I painted rose gold, and the other two are handmade wood pumpkins I bought from a craft show a few weeks back. They were around my house as decor, so I grabbed them! I love pulling pieces from around my house to incorporate into other areas! Why not use what you’ve got more than once?We received the glass goblets as a gift for our wedding shower 8 years ago. I’ve always loved them, and they’re perfect for the table! We don’t get to use them often, but I’m always so excited when I get the chance to pull them out. There’s something about a fancy glass at the table that makes it look polished. For the centerpiece, I moved my West Elm boxwood onto the table, to add a good splash of greenery. My sparkle pumpkins were also added, and then I brought in some of my mini-pumpkins and gourds from outside. I added two different fall candles for ambiance, and…done! I can’t wait to have some of our friends and family over for dinner! It’s so fun to entertain, and this season makes it cozy and intimate.
I hope you all have a great Monday!
