There are so many beautiful things about fall decor, but there are definitely a few staple textures that I like to have around my house for this time of year. I’m slowly adding new pieces, but there are a few things I’m still hoping to find for certain spots. Little by little I’ll get there! Here are some lovely goodies that caught my eye:
Obviously, there are some givens, like the comfy throws and pillows because everyone loves the soft and plush accessories this time of year! Some of the unexpected textures though, like wire and rattan, can add the perfect amount of interest to a space. I recently bought a large wire basket to put by my fireplace to fill with blankets, and it pulls in my mantle decor perfectly. It’s big, but since the wire is delicate it doesn’t look too bold or overwhelming. I love the ones from Overstock that have the canvas liner in them! The rattan one from Target is perfect if you want blankets at the ready but not showing around the living room, the lid hides it all!
Candles are another great thing to have around, and I may be going slightly crazy with the candle buying this year. Hey, Yankee has a Pumpkin Apple Butter scented one, mmmkay? GET IN MY CART. Candles in cloches are my jam this year. I never used to like them, but they’re definitely growing on me and I can see why everyone likes them. The glass creates a really soft ambiance, and that’s music to my hygge-loving heart! Soft, cozy lighting with hot chocolate and a plush blanket? Yes please.
No matter what kind of house decor you have, wooden accessories are a great piece to incorporate. They warm up a space that has a lot of contemporary style granite or tile, or they seamlessly blend in to rustic and farmhouse decor. That tray from Target would be the perfect piece for my kitchen island. Filling it with faux pumpkins and greenery would make it so festive for the fall!
What kind of textures are you liking around your home now? I hope you all have a great Wednesday!
