Happy Fourth of July, everyone! I love this holiday for so many reasons – the weather, the summer food, the get-togethers with family and friends and of course, late-night bonfires and s’mores! We managed to pack all of those things into this weekend and it was wonderful. We started the weekend off with our friend’s wedding, and then headed up north to Joey’s parent’s house for some much needed R and R. We got to ride the four-wheelers, hike through Hartwick Pines State Park and we even made it all the way up to the Mackinac Bridge. We had such a great time!
We headed back home early this morning, but I wanted to put a little tablescape together for our dinner tonight. Our hydrangea bush is outta control with blooms, so it was the perfect time to snip some for the house. I arranged a few together, got out my red, white, and blue wooden stars and set up a simple but lovely arrangement. I had some other pieces out as well, but decided to just keep it to these few pieces. Sometimes simple is better! Fourth of July isn’t meant to be fussy, anyways. 😉
It’s back to the grind tomorrow, I hope your short week flies by!
